Early Career Research Award Guidelines

“An Ecosystem Approach to Health Enhancing Physical Activity Promotion”

Attention all early career researchers who expressed interest in the Early Career Research Award for either oral or poster presentations, please make sure to register by 22 July 2022 in order for us to take the necessary steps to include your abstract in the pre-judging. To allow our judges time to review all of the excellent abstracts, any registrations received after this date can not be considered for the award.

1. Background

HEPA Europe believes in the importance of supporting researchers at an early stage in their career to develop their professional identity. To coincide with the 11th conference of HEPA Europe an Early Career Research Award has been established to recognize the contribution of early career researchers at the start of their scientific journey. Early career researchers will have the opportunity to enter this prestigious competition for scientific excellence. This award is sponsored by the WHO Regional Office for Europe, and the French Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health Safety (Anses). This award strengthens the careers of engaged researchers at the start of their scientific journey.

2. General guidelines

Abstracts submitted by the 01 February 2022 deadline which signaled their eligibility and interest in the Early Career Researcher Award will be considered.  Shortlisted authors (5 from each category) will be notified by 01 July 2022 (via email and through their author’s hepa2022.mycongressonline account). Final assessments will be made during session presentations (both oral and poster) by representatives from the HEPA Europe Scientific Steering Committee and Session Chairs. Presentations will be assessed for clarity, scientific quality, novelty and contribution to the field.

Note: Only one abstract per candidate will be considered.
